Role Overview

Senior ServiceNow Developer specializes in designing, developing, and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform to automate and streamline business processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, customizing the platform, and ensuring seamless integrations with other enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Customization & Development: Design and develop custom applications, modules, and workflows within the ServiceNow platform to meet specific business needs.
  • Integration Management: Implement and manage integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using technologies like REST, SOAP, and IntegrationHub spokes.
  • Automation & Scripting: Utilize JavaScript, Business Rules, UI Actions, and Flow Designer to automate processes and enhance platform functionality.
  • System Administration Support: Assist in platform administration tasks, including user role management, security configurations, and system upgrades.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards to maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, customizations, and integrations. Provide training to end-users and junior developers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and best practices, recommending enhancements to improve system performance and user experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Proficiency:

  • Expertise in ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript), UI policies, Business Rules, and Flow Designer.
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and CSM.
  • Proficiency in web technologies like HTML, XML, and CSS.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Studio and Scoped Applications.

Integration & Automation:

  • Experience in integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub.
  • Ability to automate business processes through scripting and ServiceNow workflows

System Administration:

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow platform administration, including user roles, permissions, and security configurations.
  • Experience with platform upgrades and patch management.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership capabilities to mentor junior developers and lead development initiatives.
